ピアノのメロディアスなループとエフェクティヴな響きに推進力を与える人力ドラムンベース、疾走的な変拍子ロック、スタンダードなジャズトリオの編成にポスト・ロックを融合させることからはじまった彼らのキャリアは、数多くの作品を生み出す中で多種多様な楽器やボーカルをフィーチャー、世界的な視野を持ち、あらゆるサウンドを取り入れることで常に新しい音楽を提起してきた。ドラマ・映画の劇伴制作やプロデュース、CM・ゲームへの楽曲提供、国内の大型フェスや海外ツアーも積極的に行うなど、枠にはまらない奔放な制作・活動スタイルによって特異な存在感を放ち10年の間に目覚ましい躍進をみせてきたfcp。
